The University of Geneva, where it all began...

Thank you to theUniversity of Geneva for its trust and unfailing support since the beginning of the Open Geneva adventure!

The Open Geneva story simply would not exist without the support of the University of Geneva. We like to say that Open Geneva is a spin-off of the UNIGE! Like the University of Geneva, Open Geneva fulfils this service to the City by instilling this dynamic of open innovation in the Greater Geneva.

On a day-to-day basis, the UNIGE shows its support for the Open Geneva association by making key resources available to it. For example, the President and the Secretary of the association, two key members of the Open Geneva committee, are employees of the University of Geneva.

For the 2020 edition, the University of Geneva wanted to get even more involved by hosting the launch party of the festival on Thursday 19 March.
